As the title of this entry suggests… I just have to sew the seams and weave in the ends of sweater number two. I’m going to do that later on this week. 🙂
So I now have number 3 on the needles. This SHOULD go quicker since it’s a smaller size.
My little man has been bugging the heck out of me to make his. I think I’m going to do his a little different. I’m thinking all green and yellow with checks on the sleeves rather than stripes. I may leave them solid… We’ll see when the time comes. I also found a graph for the actual emblem. So…
I picked up some pretty cool Christmas yarn the other day. I also acquired a pattern for a tea cozy. I’ve never worked with this sort of yarn, so I’m excited. It’ll be taking a back seat for awhile though.
I LOVE being busy!!!!
I completed the patchwork part of my niece’s quilt. Each patch is different. I plan on having the 9 patch and an equally sized John Deere patch with sashing made of the same fabric as the backing. I think it’s going to look pretty cool. I know my niece is going to love it, so that’s all that counts 🙂
I started my niece’s birthday quilt today. I won’t have it finished by her party, but I don’t think it’s unrealistic to have the top done 🙂
I still owe my brother and sister-in-law a wedding quilt. But the right one hasn’t jumped out at me yet. It’s funny how I used to roll my eyes when people talked about artists’ methods and inspiration. Now I get it lol
After some unexpected events over the past week, I was able to finish the sweater and deliver it this morning. It brings me such joy and excitement when I can use my skills to bring people joy and excitement and making gifts from the heart for them to give.
I’ve got a good start on the sweater. Tonight I just couldn’t put the needles down! Hope the momentum remains… I’m going to have this done before I even realize it! Hehehe
I have been asked to make a tractor sweater. This will be refreshing after doing that black sweater! And I know this one will take me a month TOPS. I’m thinking more like a week, but I am no longer putting time limits on myself. Especially with all that I have on my plate right now!
This one is going to be an adventure though. The pattern I have just goes up to a size 4 and the sweater I’ve been asked to make is a size 8. This should be easy enough to do. I have TONS of resources. And when Uncle Garr gets envious of Goober’s sweater, I’ll be better equipped to make one in his size 😉
I’m going to take a stab at using bamboo needles. I’ve never used them before, but I notice that a lot of the hardcore knitters do. I’m sure there is a reason for it. I’m sure I’m about to discover it. I’m kinda excited about it!
I also have to make a prototype of a table runner for Thursday. This is going to be for the Festival of Trees. I’m looking forward to this 🙂
Well, time to git ‘r done!
